    the Egyptian Bead Project (tEBP)

In 2016 an international bead project was initiated, providing a platform for bead research in Egyptian archaeology

Throughout Egyptian history, beads and beadwork have been used in different social settings and rituals, reflecting aspects of the identity of the bearer or user. With this project Jolanda Bos and André J. Veldmeijer aim to provide a contextual and systematic approach to beads, in order to give those found in an (Egyptian) archaeological context the full attention they deserve and provide a framework for further research.
